Oh man is this place full of character! All the classic Italian restaurant tropes are here (in a good way) so you kind of feel like you are in a movie: a plethora of dishes featuring homemade marinara, an owner who comes out dusted in pasta flour and talks to everyone, even busting out an acoustic guitar to serenade guests with classics from Italy and America alike (think O Sole Mio, but also songs from Guns n Roses and Bob Dylan), walls covered in family photos and photos of Italy, and a bathroom painted to look like the Adriatic coast. Its no wonder La Casa Nostra translates to "Our Home" because the owner here really acts like he is just hosting people in his house - its his show and we just happened to be there.
Food is good too. Tasty sauce and well made pasta. Portions are big too so beware. Not a ton of non-meat options, but enough. Service was pretty slow the night we were there, but the servers themselves were very gracious about it and we weren't in a rush, so weren't bothered. It gave us time to digest and not get too full to be honest, so that was actually kind of nice. -

Great pizza. Will come back again. Nice atmosphere. Service a little slow but waitress was pleasant but very busy.

The best pizza & Italian food by far in Thunder Bay. Possibly the best pizza I've ever had... Ever. I won't be the first or last person to say that!
